Components of Multimedia

1. Text - All multimedia creations include some text. The text may be formatted in a variety of fonts and sizes to match the professional appearance of the multimedia programme.

2. Graphics - Graphics add to the appeal of the multimedia application. In many situations, people dislike reading huge amounts of material on a screen. As a result, images are utilised more frequently than words to illustrate an idea, give background information, and so on.

3. Audio - Speech, music, and sound effects may be required in a multimedia application. These are referred to as audio or sound elements of multimedia. Speech is also an excellent medium for instruction. There are two forms of audio: analogue and digital. The initial sound signal is referred to as analogue audio or sound. The sound is digitally stored on the computer. As a result, digital audio is employed in multimedia applications.

4. Video - The term video refers to a moving image that is accompanied by sound, such as a television picture. The video component of a multimedia application provides a lot of information in a short period of time. Digital video may be used in multimedia applications to display real-world things. If a video is published on the internet, it has the largest performance demand on computer memory and bandwidth. Digital video files can be saved on a computer just like any other file, and the video quality may be preserved. A computer network can be used to transport digital video files. The digital video snippets may be readily modified.

5. Animation - Animation is the technique of making a still image appear to move. An animation is just a collection of static images shown in a sequential order. The animation can be used to draw attention to a certain topic. A presentation may also be made lighter and more appealing by using animation. In multimedia applications, animation is highly popular.
